University of Lowa Tippie College of Business Review 2019: The University of Iowa has been around since 1847. It is a semester-based, city setting university built on 1,730 acres of land.
It is just a few blocks from Iowa City, one of USA’s most green and scenic cities with the advanced application of sustainable energy. The college is currently ranked 89 in the best National Universities category of USA’s Best Colleges rankings.

The school has well-established leadership programs for honing leadership skills in interested students. These include the leadership institute, a week-long workshop, and the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership, which offers many multicultural, entertainment and arts programs.
The university allows freshmen to live outside campus, although 95% choose to live on campus. It has a smoke-free policy, meaning tobacco smoking is prohibited. Students can participate in any of the more than 500 clubs, with almost 10% being members of the more than 50 Greek sororities and fraternities. In sports, the Iowa Hawkeyes participate in the Big Ten Conference of the NCAA Division I.
The University of Iowa’s highly ranked degree programs includes the College of Education, the Law College, the Henry B. Tippie School of Management, the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, as well as the Iowa University Hospitals and Clinics.
Some of the university’s famous alumni include George Nissen, the brain behind the trampoline, George Gallup, founder of the Gallup Poll, and Diablo Cody, the famous screenwriter behind “Jennifer’s body” and “Juno”. Ashton Kutcher, an actor, also briefly studied here before joining the modeling and acting industry.
